South Georgia Institute, student housing located in Norman Park, GA, offers on-campus housing designed to provide a welcoming and supportive living environment for its students. The student residence hall is a vital part of the campus community, fostering student engagement and personal growth.

The residence halls offer two separate housing arrangements for full-time students. Norman Hall is designated as the male residence, and Fender Hall serves as the female residence, providing the perfect balance of academic focus and outdoor recreation.

First Year Students Residence Options

Fender (FRH) Resident Hall

A two-story masonry building featuring an open foyer and common area, with 62 individually climate-controlled guestrooms, each equipped with a private bath, ample storage, and dedicated housekeeping closets.

Norman (NRH) Resident Hall

A two-story masonry building featuring an open foyer and common area, with 81 individually climate-controlled guestrooms, seven dormitory-style restrooms, and a Resident Assistant suite equipped with a private bath and kitchen.

Amenities
Campus housing provides convenient access to essential amenities, including washers and dryers, high-speed internet, and private parking. The housing facilities are located within walking distance of all college buildings, ensuring easy campus navigation.

 

Nearby Attractions

For a wider range of activities, residents can explore nearby areas:

  • Moultrie Cinemas: Situated approximately 11.5 km from Norman Park, this cinema features the latest movie releases for entertainment.

 

Recent renovations have enhanced the overall student housing experience by upgrading the pool area and creating a pavilion with a gazebo, outdoor volleyball and fire pit. Additionally, Wi-Fi connectivity has been improved across this part of the campus.

Each property also offers unique amenities, including outdoor gardens, community grills, tennis courts, and bike racks, providing residents with a well-rounded living environment.

All financial obligations to the institute must be paid prior to housing check-in. After the start of the term, room and board fees are non-refundable. Room fees include all utilities and internet.

Housing Application

For new incoming students, a housing application will be provided upon receipt of your Intent to Enroll form. Limited space is available, and housing is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
